Around the B&B: the House of Dante, the Bargello Museum, the Badia Fiorentina, the church of Orsanmichele, Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. There is a pharmacy on the corner and, a little further on, post offices, banks, currency exchange and a taxi rank.

By train

Santa Maria Novella station is less than a kilometre away: about 15 minutes on foot, or by taxi or bus to Via del Proconsolo, a few steps from us.

By plane

Amerigo Vespucci airport is about 5 km from the centre. Take a taxi directly to the B&B, or reach Santa Maria Novella station by public transport and continue as above.

By car

The historic centre is a limited traffic zone (ZTL). We recommend leaving your car in a garage: Garage Bargello is nearby, at Via Ghibellina 170 red. Write to us before you arrive and we will send you up-to-date directions.

Shopping

Just steps away you will find everything: gold and jewellery, clothes and shoes, leather goods, Florentine paper, prints, mosaics and wrought iron. There is also a characteristic wine shop nearby, and at the Porcellino market you can find the typical Florentine straw hat.
